Our government isn’t doing enough to help the people who are dying in the southern States. Get off your keister and donate. Even a buck or two. I’ve researched it, and with these organizations, 100% of your donated money is going straight to the relief effort, not into administrator’s pockets.

REFRESHING THE SPIRIT Thinking of all the fubar abroad in the world today, I take refuge in writings like this, from Stephen Aizenstadt’s Dreamtending site:

There is much disturbance in the world today, there is also disorder in the world behind the world, in the realm of the dream time. We find ourselves in a world filled with difficult contradictions. Torn between helplessness and outrage, despair and hope, we each struggle to make sense out of what, at times, seems senseless. We feel the impotence created by the isolation and separation that results from being caught between vastly polarized perspectives and interests. Bridges are hard to find, meaning difficult to establish. Perhaps the one remaining unifying experience is our empathy for those who are suffering so much at this moment. In our grief, we join with others in a way that transcends time, place, and identity. And extraordinary things happen when we experience the commonality of heartfelt sorrow — a portal opens, and we gain access to the deeper sources of our humanity. In these intimate pools of sadness and loss we open to the realm of consciousness that is informed by the dream.

After the previous post I strode purposefully into my back garden, sat on the three square feet of actual soil therein and began a long, low drumbeat to guide my sorrowing spirit to clarity. Stephen’s words resonate, for it is into the dreamworld, the world behind this world of ordinary consciousness, that I go for respite, relief and help. Whatever your tradition is, go to that silent, calm place of the Divine within and seek help for those who are in too much turmoil to seek it themselves.

And again, please do join us all in the Global Healing For Victims of Katrina Effort. At Noon, today, wherever you are today and for the next month, use EFT and tap, use TAT and hold the position, use BSFF or ZPoint and use your cueword to work for those who cannot work for their own health, healing and clarity right now. Drink water for those who have none, tap, pose, to end the panic. Meditate, chant, pray. Whatever you can do, do it now. They need you. As someday, you may need them.
