Just For Today, I will have a quiet half hour all by myself, to relax. During this half hour, sometime, I will give thanks for all that is mine, and I will try to get a better perspective on my life. I will hold this time sacrosanct – for it is important to consistently nurture myself before I can give of myself to others.
Stay tuned for our last "Just For Today", tomorrow

Just For Today, I will work a self-improvement program of my own choice. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have a program in place and be working it. I will save myself from two pests: hurry and indecision. While following my program, I will stay "in the Now".
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s "Just For Today"

Just For Today, I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, keep my voice in a pleasant register, be courteous and criticize no one. I won’t find fault with anything, not try to improve or regulate anybody but myself. I will be well-spoken, pleasant and polite. I will bring the energy of courtesy and compassion to every interaction and place I visit today.

Just For Today, I will exercise my soul in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn and not get found out – if anyone comes to know of it, it will not count. I will do at least two things I don’t want to do – just for the exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt – even if they are hurt, today I will not show it. I will silently dedicate the merit of my good deeds not to myself, but to anyone who has need.

Just For Today, I will strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will not be a mental slacker. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration. I will sharpen my mind with good will in a spirit of excitement in exploration.

Just For Today, I will adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything outside of me to my own desires. I will take my "luck" as it comes, and fit myself to it. I will become in the words of Eckhart Tolle, "transparent to" outside annoyance.

Just For Today, I will be happy. This assumes to be true what Abraham Lincoln said: "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be". I will truly live the Law of Attraction that states that what we send out returns to us tenfold, and spread happiness and contentment wherever I go. For what I send out, will return to me.

Happy Thanksgiving! In thinking about how I could contribute more than just the mouthed "thank you for….. in my life" I am doing a self-improvement program of my own device. While there are many out there, here’s an old, tried-and-true Nine Day Program you can use to level up your life:
Just For Today…
This will be familiar to those in one of the "Anonymous" organizations (like Alcoholics Anonymous) and comes from the Al-Anon Family Group, a support group for families and friends of addicts. In addition to just Giving Thanks on this one day, take the next nine and do some simple but powerfully impactful work.
Day One:
Just For Today, I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle all my problems at once. I can do something for twelve hours I would find appalling if I felt I had to keep it up for a lifetime. Just for today, I will live in the Now. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s "Just For Today"

If you’ve had a traumatic day, sleeping it off might not be the best idea.
New research out of the Medical University of Lübeck
in Germany suggests that sleep following learning could bolster
long-term retention of emotional memories. Therefore, a nap after
trauma could increase the likelihood that a patient will develop
post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), the psychological fallout of a
horrific experience. Symptoms of PTSD include nightmares, flashbacks,
emotional detachment, clinical depression and anxiety. The research is
published in the journal Biological Psychiatry.
Read the rest of this article here.
And if you’ve had a traumatic day, cross crawl twenty times to get your brains unscrambled, then do your TAT, EFT, ZPoint or other stress-reliever process until your emotional load is zero, THEN sleep.

Come one, come all, to the new Quantum Bazaar MediaStore! After the thirtieth person in a row asked me for a recommend to good NLP and Energy Therapy books, I created my own list of books have personally read and recommend that links directly to Amazon.com reviews. You can read all about each book, CD and DVD, read a few pages of the books you’re interested in, what those who have purchased it have to say, and expand your library right from the store here:
http://quantumflow.com/mediastore.html
Creating the "Spiritual Expanders" section of the MediaStore I chose as inspiration Eckhart Tolle’s Findhorn Retreat, and enjoyed a repeat listening of it as I worked. Doing web work really can take you deeper into consciousness…or out of it, depending. I marvelled at how swiftly one falls out of consciousness into the place we think is conscious but is only the illusion of what-is. The simplest things bring us back to consciousness. Breathing…the rise and fall of the chest and abdomen…seeing the gleam of quiet love in a kitten’s eyes and truly connecting…a lone leaf fluttering soundlessly through crisp air to the forest floor, speaking to you…the beat of your own heart.
Consciousness is quiet and self-contained. It does not thrive in those beginning to awaken, in busy crowded situations, in jangling and noisy environments. If you are just beginning a practice of conscious wakefulness, try meditating on a quiet environment or alone in nature. Observe what in your environment is the most "alive". And how you are connected with all that is living.
That which is connecting, that which is perceiving, is the true "you".
